NEWS CENTRE - Political prisoners announced with a statement that they have completed the "boycott" action they started for the physical freedom of PKK Leader Abdullah Öcalan and said, "We will take part in the move with different actions."

Political prisoners took their action, which they started on 27 November 2023 for "the physical freedom of PKK Leader Abdullah Öcalan and the solution of the Kurdish question", to a new stage on 4 April. As of 4 April, the prisoners boycotted the courts and decided not to make phone and family visits.

They will take different actions

In the statement, in which the resistance put forward by the PKK Leader against isolation was emphasised, "We had evolved the alternating hunger strike action dated 27 November 2023, which we had started for more than 6 months, to 'living under the conditions of our leadership' on 4 April 2024. At the current stage, we are ending this action and we state that we will take part in the move process with different actions until we ensure the physical freedom of Leader Apo during the 'Freedom for Leader Apo, solution to the Kurdish problem' move."
