Armenian women also support HDP

ISTANBUL - Armenian women living in Istanbul state that they will support the Peoples’ Democratic Party (HDP) and its presidential candidate Selahattin Demirtaş in the elections to be held in Turkey on June 24.
 
As the elections to be held on June 24 are approaching, different segments of society have announced that they will support the Peoples’ Democratic Party (HDP) and its presidential candidate Selahattin Demirtaş in the elections. After the support announcement of the Alevi, Circassian and Hemshin people, the Armenians also state that they will support the HDP.
 
Sultan Mıhçı, a teacher in a school for Armenian children, stated that equality is very important for her and she added, “For this reason, my heart stands by the HDP. Because the Armenians people have education problem. We want educate our children in our schools with our education system. I demand equal citizenship. I think only the mindset of the HDP will provide these.”
 
Saying that all people should go to polls for the HDP, Pınar emphasized that the people should stand up for the ballot boxes.
 
‘HDP for the end of the sufferings’
 
Sona Sadetyan said she stood by peace and freedom and the HDP carried out works for these; “For this reason, I support the HDP and its candidate. As Armenian people, we suffered very much in this country. I believe that HDP will be our voice in the parliament for the end of these sufferings.”
 
Gülizar Laçin stated that she supports the HDP because she is against the wars. Gülizar said, “I think the HDP is very important for the peoples. I can find myself and different cultures in the HDP. For this reason, my heart stands by the HDP.”
