HDP delegation in Cizre: We’ll call them to account for what happened here

ŞIRNAK - Delegation of the Peoples’ Democratic Party (HDP) came together with the people of Cizre. HDP Co-chair Sezai Temelli stated that a great crime against humanity was committed in Cizre and said, “But no investigation has been opened. We’ll call them to account for what happened here.
 
Delegation of the Peoples’ Democratic Party (HDP) went to Şırnak province as part of the party’s works for upcoming election. After their visit to Şırnak’s Silopi district, the delegation members went to Cizre. The delegation members consists of HDP Co-chair Sezai Temelli, HDP Deputy Co-chairs Fatma Kurtulan,  Hakkı Saruhan Oluç, Zübeyde Zümrüt, HDP MPs Aycan İrmez and Nimettulah Erdoğmuş and HDP Party Council Member Nuran İmir were welcomed by hundreds of people at the entrance of the district.
 
After visiting the district by cars, the delegation members went to the building of the party. The party building was very small for hundreds of people so the people listened to the speeches outside of the building. The people of Cizre carried the flags of the HDP and chanted slogans such as “PKK is the people, the people are here”, “Votes are honor, and honor cannot be sold”.

HDP Co-chair Sezai Temelli made a speech and said, “You are the hope of Turkey. We know that the people of Cizre suffered a lot. Their grief hasn’t been forgotten, and it will not be forgotten. We lost 300 people here. However, no investigation has been opened against those who are responsible. They said “No need to be investigated” for the people lost their lives. A crime against humanity was committed here; no investigation has been opened against those who committed this crime. We will never forget what we faced. We’ll call them to account for what happened here.”
 
The HDP delegation will go to İdil district today.
