DİYARBAKIR - A mass gathered outside of building of HDP in Diyarbakır upon the call of the HDP, DBP, TJA and DTK and they protested the attacks on Afrin.

People’s Democratic Party (HDP), Free Women’s Movement (TJA), Democratic Society Congress (DTK) and Democratic Regions Party (DBP) gathered outside of building of HDP in Diyarbakır to condemn Turkey’s attacks on Afrin. Police blockaded the building and they allowed everyone including journalists to enter the building after searching them. DTK Co-chair Leyla Güven and DBP Co-chair Mehmet Arslan discussed with police when the police tried to prevent the people from making the statement by showing the state of emergency as a reason. The people in the building meanwhile began to shout slogans such as, “Biji berxwedana  Efrîne (Long live the resistance of Afrin)”, “Afrin is people, people are here”, “Kurdistan will be graves of fascism”. Reacting to obstructions Leyla said, “Invasion is here. A party received 80% votes cannot make a statement.” The people didn’t accept to enter the building despite barriers of police and ended the protest.
