Police attack on action of Nuriye, Semih: 3 detained

İSTANBUL- Three people have been detained on the action of supporting Nuriye and Semih, who have ongoing hearing.
 
The hunger strike launched by two educators Nuriye Gülmen and Semih Özakça, who were dismissed by an emergency decree, has entered in its 288th day. The “We want our jobs back” action launched by two educators’ supporters in front of Human Rights Monument on Yüksel Avenue has entered in its 388th day.
 
Police didn’t allow the protesters to make a statement in front of the Human Rights Monument. Meantime, the hearing of Nuriye and Semih was going on at 19th Heavy Penalty Court in Ankara. However, the protesters have gathered on Konur street, unfurled banner saying “Nuriye and Semih should be reinstated”, shouted slogan “Nuriye and Semih are our honor”.
 
The police torn the banner and detained İlker Işık, Derviş Lermi and Mustafa Keçeci.
