Message from Nuriye: I am ready as if I will be realesed tomorrow

NEWS CENTER- In the message sent before the hearing by prisoner academician Nuriye Gülmen, who discharged from her position through a statutory decree and is on hunger strike for 267 days, said, “I am ready as if I will be released tomorrow, and I can continue to resist as if I will never be released tomorrow.”
 
The court of Nuriye Gülmen and Semih Özakça, who discharged from their positions through a statutory decree and on 267 days of their hunger strike, trialed will be continued tomorrow. The court had delayed the hearing by taking decision of ‘continue to stay in prison’ although the prosecutor’s release demand for Nuriye, who stays Numune Hospital’s prisoner barrak.  
 
‘We won and we will’
 
Gülmen evaluated the court decision to Mesopotamia Agency (MA) through Duygu Demirel. Gülmen said in the message as follows: “This decision shows the court’s incapability and shows how they are weak. The decision of not releasing me doesn’t ruin me, the main thing is resistance and resistance is going on. I am ready as if I will be released tomorrow, and I can continue to resist as if I will never be released tomorrow. This cannot create a situation of being stuck. However, they are weak from the beginning. We are very powerful and we take our power from people. We are not like them, they are gyved. For this reason we won and we will.”
 
Recalling the court’s interim decision ‘In case of they take Nuriye Gülmen’s approval, she needs to be prepared at the hearing, Lawyer Duygu Demirel said, “If the hospital administration finds it acceptable, the possibility of making her prepared seems very high at this hearing”.
