A program will be organized in Mardin on Saturday (November 18) under the name of "Communal Gender Focused Journalism Project", supported by KAOS GL, conducted by Inter Press Service (IPS) Communication Foundation Bianet. The local news site 'MardinLife', which has made news about the program, has pointed with its news language style the panel to be organized, as a target. 'MardinLife' in the published news using sexist expressions wrote as follows:

"A few years ago, a program like this wanted to be held but it was cancelled thanks to the insistence of sensitive people and nongovernmental organizations (STK). Despite the public's great reaction, 3 years later, the 'homosexuality' program has been brought to the agenda with different projects this time. It is aimed to make similar works in Mardin in İstanbul, Mersin, Bursa, İzmir, Eskişehir, Trabzon, Diyarbakır, Akyaka, Edirne and Tunceli.

As the center for the meeting hasn’t announced yet, the city's people are curious about why they want to organize a program where 'homosexuality' is at the center in it, especially in Mardin."
