House raid in Diyarbakır: 2 detained

DİYARBAKIR – Police raided a home in Diyarbakır and detained DBP Provincial Administrator Zozan Akboğa, her mother Şükran Akboğa and her brother Welat Akboğa.
 
Last night, special operations police raided a home in the Bağlar district of Diyarbakır province saying that there are “complaints” against them. As the special operations police searched the home, they held long barreled weapons against the people’s heads in the home. After the search, the police detained Democratic Regions Party (DBP) Provincial Administrator Zozan Akboğa (27), her mother Şükran Akboğa (60) and her brother Welat Akboğa (23).
 
Şükran Akboğa was later released but Zozan and Welat were taken to Anti-Terrorism Branch Headquarters.
