‘Let’s say ‘stop’ the isolation as women’

VAN – Van women, who stated that a meeting should be arranged with the PKK leader Abdullah Öcalan as soon as possible and his conditions of freedom should be formed, said, “Let’s say stop to the isolation immediately as women. If something happens to our leader, everyone will pay the price of this.”
 
As the aggravated isolation imposed upon PKK Leader Abdullah Öcalan is going on, the concern of the Kurdish people and their friends about the health condition of Abdullah Öcalan has increased day by day. The Kurdish people living in Europe and Kurdistan, political prisoners, Peace Mothers’ Assembly, women and many institutions hold actions for freedom of Abdullah Öcalan.
 
Van women reacted to the ban on visit of Abdullah Öcalan’s lawyers and family and they said that Abdullah Öcalan is a ‘sore point’ of Kurdish people.
 
‘Kurdish people cannot be free unless our leader is free’
 
Saying that they don’t accept the isolation imposed upon the PKK Leader Abdullah Öcalan, Behice Abi added, “We haven’t received any news from our leader for two years. We cannot receive any news from our leader whose a word can bring peace while the only address of peace is İmralı. Now our leader is being held in isolation, all Kurdish people are being tried to hold in isolation. The Kurdish people cannot be free unless our leader is free. A meeting must be arranged with our leader immediately. We will never accept this isolation. As women, we will keep our struggle until we break the isolation.”
 
‘All of us should take on responsibility’
 
Stating that the PKK Leader Andullah Öcalan is not alone and that all Kurds are rising all over the world, Nazime Gür said, “The state wants to hold us inisolation by holding our leader in isolation. All of us should take on responsibility for our leader, who is the center of peace and solution. Everyone should speak out against the isolation.”
 
‘Let’s say stop the isolation’
 
Underlining that a meeting should be arranged with the PKK leader Abdullah Öcalan as soon as possible and his conditions of freedom should be formed, Fatma Balkan said, “The freedom of our leader is the freedom of women. Let’s say stop the isolation as women. If something happens to our leader, everyone will pay the price of this. We never accept the isolation; isolation is a crime against humanity.”
 
“We never accept what is done to our leader,” said Arya Karakaya and she emphasized that the only person, who can take the country out the chaos, is Abdullah Öcalan.
 
‘CPT should take the situation seriously’
 
Xurşe Turgut recalled that the PKK Leader Abdullah Öcalan has been illegally held in İmralı Prison for 18 years. Xurşe said, “Our leader said, ‘Women’s organized struggle will save me’. Now all women should be united and take our leader out of isolation. CPT should take the situation seriously.”
