16 people detained in Diyarbakır

DİYARBAKIR - It was learned that 16 people, including politicians, trade unionists and Peace Mothers, were detained during the raids on many houses in Diyarbakır in the morning hours.
 
Police raided the homes of many people, including politicians, trade unionists and Peace Mothers, in the morning hours in Diyarbakır. During the searches carried out in the houses, the belongings were scattered and many people were detained.
 
From polices to families: Don’t send a lawyer
 
The families shared the information that the police said, ‘’Do not send a lawyer, there will be no lawyer meeting today,’’ during detention.
 
They were taken to the police station
 
While it was learned that the detainees were taken to the Diyarbakır Provincial Security Directorate after the health check at the hospital, information on the grounds for their detention could not be reached.
 
The detainees, whose names have been learned, are as follows: Democratic Regions Party (DBP) Provincial Organization executives Yasemin Akengin, Ali Alkan and Mehmet Süslü, Peoples’ Democratic Party (HDP) Provincial Organization executives Hüseyin Baran, Mehmet Asena, Şeyhmus Yavuz, HDP Bağlar District Co-chair Nasır Yelter, Socialist Party of the Oppressed (ESP) Diyarbakır Provincial Co-chair Erkan Keskin, Health and Social Services Workers’ Trade Union (SES) Branch executives Gülhan  Tekin, Education and Science Workers’ Union (Eğitim-Sen) No.2 Branch Co-chair Arzu Koç, Kurdistan Socialist Party (PSK) Vice Chair Bayram Bozyel, TMMOB Chamber of Mechanical Engineers Branch Board member Arin Zümrüt, TUM BEL-SEN Diyarbakır Branch Co-chair Baki Öndeş, Peace Mothers Council member Vesiye Yiğit, and Şehrat Yanık, Mehmet Ali Altan.
