Switzerland Kurdish Women’s Movement takes over Freedom Vigil

NEWS CENTER - In its 484th week, the Switzerland Kurdish Women’s Movement took over the Freedom Vigil, which continues in Strasbourg, France, in order to ensure the physical freedom of PKK leader Abdullah Öcalan and to break the isolation on him.
 
The Freedom Vigil, which was launched in Strasbourg, France to ensure the physical freedom of Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK) leader Abdullah Öcalan and to break the isolation on him, continues in its 484th week. Members of the Switzerland Kurdish Women’s Movement took over the vigil this week. The group includes Songül Hürgeç, Saadet Kural and Dilan Zaza.
 
Speaking on behalf of the group, Saadet Kural stated that Kurdish women will continue their struggle until Abdullah Öcalan is free, and that the vigil should be embraced no matter what the conditions. Stating that Europe, which prides itself on being a defender of democracy and human rights, has closed its eyes to the isolation and torture on PKK leader Abdullah Öcalan, Saadet said that Europe is a partner in Turkey’s crimes against the Kurdish people in the person of Abdullah Öcalan.
 
Stating that the freedom struggle of Kurdish women is based on Abdullah Öcalan’s paradigm and pursuit for freedom, Saadet said: ‘’We cannot be liberated until our Leadership is liberated.’’
