3 people arrested for protesting racist attack

VAN - Three out of 10 people detained in Van were arrested, seven people were released with a judicial control measure.
 
10 people, including Peoples’ Democratic Party (HDP) Party Council member Hazal Karabey, were detained on the grounds that they participated in the protest action in Van on July 31, regarding the racist attack in which seven members of the Dedeoğulları family were murdered in Meram district of Konya.
 
10 people who exercised their right to remain silent at the police station and were brought to the Magistrates Court yesterday with a request for arrest; Mesut Bor, Hazal Karabey, Ferhat Azan, Arjin Tuncer, Çetin Temel, Rajin Varhan, Sinan Ok were released with judicial control. Nurullah Pekbay, Dilovan Duru and Rojhat Duman were arrested from ‘’resistance to the police’’.
