Forest fires continue in the Aegean

MUĞLA - One person lost his life in the forest fires that have been spreading for a week in Muğla.
 
Forest fires continue in Muğla's Marmaris, Milas, Bodrum, Köyceğiz and Kavaklıdere districts. Bozolan, Fesleğen, Gökbel and Türkevleri Neighborhoods of Milas were also affected by the flames.
 
While some houses became unusable in the fire that spread to the settlements, emptying preparations were started on the Türkevleri site. In addition, fire broke out at three different points of the forest area in Bayır Neighborhood of Seydikemer district. Upon the notice, the fire extinguishing teams of the Muğla Regional Directorate of Forestry were sent to the region. Teams continue to respond to the fire from land.
 
Regarding the fire, Minister of Health Fahrettin Koca said: ‘’We discharged 271 patients after completing their treatment in Muğla. We have 36 patients whose treatment continues. We lost one life in the disaster in the region.’’ The number of people who lost their lives due to the fire in Muğla increased to nine.
 
Forest fire in Uşak
 
A forest fire broke out in the Çokkozlar region of Aybey, one of the central neighborhoods of Uşak. Efforts to extinguish the fire, which spread rapidly with the effect of the wind, continue.
The forest fires in Aydın and Denizli were brought under control.
