Indefinite alternating hunger strike extended to 15 days

NEWS CENTER - The hunger strike launched by the prisoners to end the isolation in Imralı and the violations of rights in prisons will continue for 15-day as of the 230th day.
 
The indefinite-alternating hunger strike launched on November 27, 2020, in prisons to end the isolation on Kurdistan Worker’s Party (PKK) leader Abdullah Öcalan and to protest the increasing rights violations has entered its 230th day. With the statement made by the prisoners, the action, which has been alternated in five days, has been increased to 15 days as of today.
 
Day 209 in Maxmur
 
A hunger strike was launched on December 18, led by women, against the Imralı isolation in Maxmur Camp in the Federated Kurdistan Region. The action continued at the Maxmur Martyrs' Families Association has entered its 209th day.
 
Day 192 in Lavrio Camp
 
The indefinite-alternating hunger strike, launched by those staying in Lavrio Camp in Greece to end the isolation on Öcalan and to support the hunger strikes in prisons, continues on its 192nd day. The hunger strike in the camp is led by the Revolutionary Youth Movement (TCŞ-Tevgera Ciwanên Şoreşger), the Kurdish Women's Movement in Europe (Tevgera Jinên Kurdistan a Ewropa) and the Kurdish Cultural Center (Navenda Çanda Kurdistan).
