Punishment to judge who took minutes for hemline of lawyer

ISTANBUL - In Istanbul, the 4th Penal Chamber of the Supreme Court of Appeals sentenced judge Mehmet Yoylu to prison, who interfered with the hemline of lawyer Tuğçe Çetin and took the minutes.
 
At the hearing held at the Istanbul Anatolian 2nd Labor Court in 2019, judge Mehmet Yoylu was sentenced to one year, one month, 18 days in prison, claiming that the hemline of lawyer Tuğçe Çetin was shorter than it should be, took the minutes and demanding that a photograph of the skirt be taken.
 
Two years three months six days penalty
 
Evaluating the judge's behavior as "insult", the 4th Penal Chamber of the Supreme Court of Appeals also evaluated Mehmet Yoylu’s openly insulting another lawyer on the same day and sentenced him to one year, one month, 18 days in prison for "insulting". Considering the actions as an "insult" as a whole, the chamber ruled that a total of two years, three months and six days of imprisonment be given.
The Chamber decided to defer the execution of the sentence.
