43rd group takes over hunger strike action

NEWS CENTER - The hunger strike launched against isolation imposed on PKK leader Abdullah Öcalan and rights violations in prisons is on its 211th day with the 43rd group.
 
The 43rd group took over the indefinite-alternating hunger strike that Kurdistan Worker’s Party (PKK) and Kurdistan Free Life Party (PJAK) prisoners started in prisons on November 27, 2020, to end the isolation against PKK leader Abdullah Öcalan and the increasing violations of rights. The action continues its 211th day.
 
On its 190th day in Maxmur
 
A hunger strike was launched on December 18, leading by women, against the İmralı isolation in Maxmur Camp in the Federated Kurdistan Region. The ongoing action at the Maxmur Martyrs' Families Association has entered its 190th day.
 
On the 173rd day of action in Lavrio Camp
 
The indefinite-alternating hunger strike, launched by those staying in Lavrio Camp in Greece to end the isolation against Öcalan and to support the hunger strikes in prisons, continues its 173rd day.
The hunger strike in the camp is led by the Revolutionary Youth Movement (TCŞ-Tevgera Ciwanên Şoreşger), the Kurdish Women's Movement in Europe (Tevgera Jinên Kurdistan a Ewropa) and Kurdish Cultural Center (Navenda Çanda Kurdistan).
