Emine and Ferit visit Antep Bar Association

URFA - Emine and Ferit Şenyaşar visited Antep Bar Association and met with Bar Association Chair Bektaş Şarklı. Bektaş said: "The governor's office has not done its job, the prosecutor is not doing his job. The investigation should be terminated as soon as possible, and the case should be opened."
 
Emine Şenyaşar, who lost her husband and two sons as a result of the attacks, and Ferit Şenyaşar, who survived the attack with injuries, started the sit-in in front of the Urfa Courthouse since March 9, demanding "justice", continues on its 102nd day.
 
The family went to Antep today and met with Antep Bar Association President Bektaş Şarıklı. In addition to Emine and Ferit, lawyer Derya Bozkurt and Bülent Duran and lawyer Bermal Kutlu representing the Human Rights Association (İHD) Antep Branch visited Antep Bar Association Chair Bektaş Şarklı for their solidarity.
 
‘This is a disgrace for law’
 
Providing information about the file during the visit, Bülent Duran stated that the massacre was tried to be covered up and said: "There is no arrest in the file. It has been three years. Her husband was murdered in front of her eyes. There was only one case related to the workplace in Malatya. On the day of the attack, with the deputy leaving the shop, 30-40 people are launching an intense attack on the shop." Bülent conveyed what happened on the day of the incident. Stating that no trial was made regarding what happened in the hospital, Bülent said: "There was a terrible massacre, this massacre took place in the hospital. Fadıl was given 37 years and Enver 18 years. There was minister, governor, district governor in the hospital. The lynching in the hospital hurts our conscience, ambulances were destroyed. AKP MP and his relatives are protected. This is a disgrace for law."
 
‘Every conscientious person should stand by this demand for justice’
 
Stating that the family is fighting for justice, Bülent continued: "We lawyers have things to do. Every conscientious person should stand by this demand for justice. There is a limitation in the file right now. The investigation cannot go one step further. The Şenyaşar family is struggling to be a voice for everyone who is aggrieved. The family on vigil for justice for 102 days in front of the building that writes justice. The family's organizational affiliation was searched, but they found nothing. As the lawyer of the file this file hurts my conscience. Now the family will tell all of Turkey outside the courthouse. Today we first came to Antep. We have a call for you to give voice to our demand."
 
‘We want justice for all’
 
Afterwards, Ferit Şenyaşar stated that they had been in front of the courthouse for 102 days and said: "We want justice for everyone. The prosecutor walks by us every day, but one day does not say that this 65-year-old mother what she wants. When we go to meet with the prosecutor, the state of emergency footage emerges. We are fighting a human struggle. We cannot fight this struggle alone. The incident happened on the same day, but there were two files. The hospital security cameras are in the archive, although the prosecutor said in the first meeting, we had nothing, they said that some of the images were available in the next meeting. But we know that all the images are there. We want justice, we will extend our struggle with solidarity."

Listening to lawyer Bülent Duran and Ferit Şenyaşar, Bektaş Şarklı said that it is sad that there is political pressure on the file and emphasized that the state should protect the right to life and be fair. Bektaş said: "It is thought-provoking that a file has been kept waiting for three years. As the Antep Bar Association, we are ready to be with you. It is a sad that such a thing happened in a hospital where the administrative chief is, the administrative chief is responsible for this. The governor did not do its job, the prosecutor is not doing his job. The investigation should be terminated as soon as possible, and the case should be opened."
 
‘I cannot stay at home anymore’
 
Speaking lastly, Emine Şenyaşar could not contain her emotions while describing her experiences and said: "My son is imprisoned, I want him to be released. My husband and two sons were murdered in front of my eyes in the hospital. We have been in front of the courthouse for 102 days. I cannot stay at home anymore. They interfere to us, but those who murdered my children and my wife roam free. We have a workplace for 35 years, my children did not harm anyone. Help us, I want to see my children before they die."
 
The family, together with their lawyer Derya Bozkurt, went to the Saadet Party Antep Provincial Organization.
