Hunger strike resistance on its 174th day

NEWS CENTER - The hunger strike launched by the prisoners against the aggravated isolation on PKK leader Abdullah Öcalan and the increasing violations of rights in prisons continues on its 174th day.
 
The indefinite-alternating hunger strike launched by Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK) and Kurdistan Free Life Party (PJAK) prisoners on November 27, 2020, demanding the lifting of the aggravated isolation imposed on PKK leader Abdullah Öcalan and ending of increasing violations of rights in prisons, continues. The action is on its 174th day with the 35th group.
 
While his lawyers applied to Bursa Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office yesterday to interview with PKK leader Abdullah Öcalan, they made a statement recently. Lawyers stated that Abdullah Öcalan was given a new disciplinary punishment as of January, and they learned this in March.
