NEWS CENTER - 62 bar associations supported the people who resisted the Cevizlik Quarry Project, which was intended to be built by Cengiz Construction in İkizdere.

 

While the resistance of the people against Cengiz Construction, which wants to open a quarry by plundering the nature in Rize’s İkizdere district, the bar associations of 62 provinces published a joint written statement titled "We hear your voice". The statement said: "We share that we will be in solidarity with our people who are on duty to protect their living spaces, and that we feel responsible for strengthening the efforts to enforce the law."

 

The statement was shared by Istanbul Bar Association Chair, attorney Mehmet Durakoğlu on Twitter.

 

The signature of the Rize Bar Association was not included in the support statement.
