Press release about May Day in Kobanê

KOBANE - In Kobanê, the Workers’ and Laborer Committee had a press release on the occasion of May Day, said: "There should stand against to the attacks of the Turkish state for the people in North and East Syria-Rojava to get for their labor and a regular agricultural functioning."
 
In the Kobanê Canton in North and East Syria, the Workers’ and Laborer Committee had a press release on the occasion of May Day. Photographs of Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK) leader Abdullah Öcalan, Workers' and Laborer Committee and Movement for a Democratic Society (TEV-DEM) flags and a banner "Biji 1'ê Gulanê" were hung on the place where the statement made in Martyr Egid Square.
 
The press release was read in Arabic by Egid Ebdo, co-chair of the Workers’ and Laborer Committee.
 
'They are the workers who form the foundation of society'
 
In the press release, which was celebrated that May Day, the following statements were made: “It is the workers who have an important role and mission in the society. The workers bear the heaviest burden of society. The rights of workers have not been recognized and always violated by the general Syrian regime and around the world. Workers whose rights are most violated are those dealing with factories, fields, and livestock. The foundation of society is made up of these workers. These workers must claim their rights. At the same time, today, Northern and Eastern Syria - Rojava is faced with the attacks of the Turkish state. The workers who suffer the most from these attacks and whose rights are violated are the workers. The desired output is not obtained due to the attacks during the agricultural season every year. Some workers work daily and monthly. These workers face all the difficulties of life. their rights are violated in the world. We are against it. And now the workers must be given their rights. There should stand against to the attacks of the Turkish state for the people in North and East Syria-Rojava to get for their labor and regular agricultural functioning."
