ŞIRNAK - The funerals of seven persons of the People's Defense Forces (HPG) keep waiting in Şırnak State Hospital morgue for 16 days.

In the military operation launched from land and air in the Besta Region between Şırnak and Siirt provinces on April 11, eight people who were stated to be HPG members lost their lifes in the bombardment by Armed Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (SİHA), and their funerals were taken to the morgue of Şırnak State Hospital.

After the statements, many families came to Şırnak to identify the funerals and gave DNA samples. The body of Zeynep Dayan, who lost her life in the same attack, was identified by her family on April 12 and was taken to her hometown Siirt and buried.

While it was stated that six of the funerals kept in the morgue belonged to the HPG members, the family of Fırat Şişman, whose funeral was found in the morgue, came from Istanbul to Şırnak three times to take the funeral. It was noted that the family identified the funeral, but all applications made to take the funeral were rejected by the authorities.
