MAXMUR - The 63rd group took over the hunger strike led by the Ishtar Council in the Martyr Rüstem Cudî Camp.

The hunger strike led by the Ishtar Council in Maxmur Martyr Rüstem Cudî Refugee Camp against the aggravated isolation imposed on PKK Leader Abdullah Öcalan continues. The 63rd group took over the action, which entered its 125th day.

Speaking on behalf of the 62nd group before the taking over, Qurtay Hêşetî stated: “All actions are carried out within the framework of the freedom for Leader Abdullah Öcalan. I wish success to all friends who participated in these actions. Firstly, I want to start by quoting from Mazlum Doğan. If there is fascism somewhere, there is resistance. That is why our resistance is against the fascism that exists today. In every action, we say 'we are with Öcalan with our blood and soul'. Wherever we are and under all conditions, we must continue our struggle with great determination. Our leadership is now captive and in the hands of the enemy. We should give our self-criticism in the face of this situation. If we had given all our previous struggles and actions to liberate our leadership, now our leadership would be free."

The taking over ceremony ended with the slogans "Bijî Serok Apo" and "Bijî berxwedana zîndanan".
