Call for civilians under fire in Serêkaniyê

SERÊKANIYÊ - Movement for a Democratic Society (TEV-DEM) calls for opening a humanitarian corridor for civilians in Serêkaniyê city where heavy clashes have been going on since yesterday.
 
Turkey’s offensive on NE Syria has entered ninth day. As Serêkaniyê city has been surrounded by Turkish army and Turkish-backed groups since yesterday, civilians have been stuck in the city. The people of Serêkaniyê note that a possible massacre can take place in the city and emphasize that their access to electricity, water and living needs has been prevented.
 
Movement for a Democratic Society (TEV-DEM) Executive Board member Aldar Xelîl has released a call regarding the surrounding of the city and she emphasizes that a humanitarian corridor should be opened for taking out the civilians from the city.
 
Kurdish Red Crescent: We are prevented from reaching the injured people
 
Meanwhile, the Kurdish Red Crescent (Heyva Sor a Kurd) states that Turkish army has prevented them from reaching and helping the injured people. Heyva Sor indicates that thousands of civilians are in danger and calls on international community to open an urgent humanitarian corridor for civilians.
