ANKARA- WANA made a call for struggle and unity against the death sentence given to Pexshan Ezîzî. In the call, it was stated that time is critical and action must be taken as soon as possible.

 

WANA (West Asia North Africa Women Solidarity Network) condemned the Iranian regime's death sentence against female activist Pexshan Ezîzî and demanded the immediate withdrawal of this sentence. In the call, it was stated that this torture should be kept silent. 

 

‘Her execution could occur at any moment’

“We, the members of the WANA Women Solidarity Network, urgently call on the international community, governments, human rights organizations, and women’s rights advocates to take immediate and decisive action to halt the execution of Pakhshan Azizi, a courageous humanitarian worker and women’s rights activist. The Supreme Court of Iran has upheld her death sentence, and her execution could occur at any moment.

 

‘Extinguish a vital voice for progress and equality in Iran’

 

Pakhshan Azizi has devoted her life to advocating for the rights of vulnerable women, challenging inequality, and fighting for justice in her community. Her unwavering commitment to human rights has been a beacon of hope for many. Executing her would not only constitute an appalling miscarriage of justice but also extinguish a vital voice for progress and equality in Iran.

 

Let us stand in solidarity with Pakhshan Azizi
