447th day on Yüksel: Police inflict violence on Acun Karadağ

ANKARA - On the 447th day of “We want our jobs back” action, police attacked the people gathering for the action and detained five people and inflicted violence on Acun Karadağ.
 
“We want our jobs back” action initiated by dismissed educators Nuriye Gülmen and Semih Özakça in front of the Human Rights Monument on Yüksel Avenue has been carried out by dismissed public laborers on its 447th day.
 
Protesters gathering on Ankara’s Konur Street wanted to make a statement in front of the Human Rights Monument blockaded by riot police and armored vehicles. Police didn’t allow the protesters to go to in front of the monument. The protesters therefore unfurled a banner reading, “We want our jobs back, long live the resistance on Yüksel” in front of police shields.
 
Police attacked the protesters while making the statement and inflicted violence on Acun Karadağ. Acun Karadağ, İbrahim İlhan, Mehmet Dersulu, Cemal Yıldırım and Nazan Bozkurt have been taken into custody by police.
