Aysel Tuğluk sentenced to 1 year, 6 months in prison

KOCAELİ - Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP) Vice Co-Chair Aysel Tuğluk, who is behind bars in Kandıra F-type Prison, has been sentenced to one year and six months in prison.
 
The hearing of trial opened against the Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP) Vice Co-Chair Aysel Tuğluk, who is behind bars in Kandıra F-type Prison, under allegation of "opposing the law on meetings and demonstrations" was held by Kandıra Criminal Court of First Instance. Aysel Tuğluk and her lawyer Nuri Tan attended the hearing. Aysel, who stands trial for previously attending protests outside of Kocaeli F-type Prison, demanded her acquittal.
 
The court has sentenced Aysel Tuğluk to one year and six months in jail.
