ISTANBUL - The conference organized by Mor Dayanışma (Purple Solidarity) with the motto “Freedom or Freedom” has started in Istanbul with the participation of many women.

 

Women from many cities of Turkey and Kurdistan have come together at the conference organized by Mor Dayanışma (Purple Solidarity) at Nazım Hikmet Culture and Art Center with the motto “Freedom or Freedom”.

 

Mor Dayanışma Antakya member Selda Özgür made the opening speech of the conference and in her speech she said, “We have stretched our women’s solidarity against those who try to imprison the women in homes, to keep them away public space, to oppress the women’s bodies and those who want to maintain their power over women.” Selda asked the women to stage one minute silence in memory of women who have become immortalized in the women's struggle.

 

The messages sent by feminist women in Europe have been read and the conference is going on.
