NEWS CENTRE - The number of children who froze to death in Kobanê has risen to five. 

 

Attacks by HTS-DAISH and gangs affiliated with Turkey on Rojava continue. As part of these attacks, Kobanê's water, electricity and internet have been cut off since 15 January, and roads leading to the city have been closed, cutting off its connection to the world. With fuel shortages also affecting the city, the number of children who have lost their lives due to freezing temperatures has risen to 5. 

 

Heyva Sor a Kurd stated in a statement, "The responsibility for the lives of these five children lies with the international community. Open the roads, let us save the lives that can be saved together."
