ANKARA - Female parliamentarians from the Social Democrats, Greens and BastA! parties sent a message of support for Rojava.

 

Political parties in Basel, Switzerland BastA! MP Franziska Stier, Green Party spokesperson Jo Vergeat, and Social Democrats Party spokesperson Melanie Nussbaumer sent our agency a message stating that they stand with the people of the region, women, and the rights gained by Rojava against the ongoing attacks by HTS gangs despite the ceasefire in Rojava. 

 

‘This is a war against women’

 

In a joint message sent by parliamentarians, they stated, “Dear sisters, we reiterate that we stand with you and send our solidarity. We continue to condemn the attacks in Rojava, Rojhilat and Iran. These attacks must end, and we call for an independent international investigation into human rights violations. We know that the revolution in Rojava and the real revolution taking place in Iran are being led by women. Again, these attacks are not only directed at the Kurdish people, but also at an ideology, a system and an idea based on fundamental women's rights. This is an attack and a war against women. We would like to reiterate that we are sending our feelings of solidarity. Jin Jiyan Azadî."
