‘Traditional Kurdish Women’s Clothes’ book on shelves

NEWS CENTER - The "Traditional Kurdish Women's Clothing" catalog, which was prepared by the writer Nevin Reşan Güngör by observing for many years and making use of many archives, in order to carry Kurdish culture from generation to generation, took its place on the shelves.
 
Writer Nevin Reşan Güngör's work entitled Traditional Kurdish Women's Clothing was published in three languages in Turkish, Kurdish and English by Nûbihar Publications. In the introduction to the work, Nevin states that the most important purpose of the study is to make a record of traditional Kurdish women's clothing and to transfer this culture to future generations.
 
Introductory letter in three languages
 
All drawings in this work, which is the product of nearly 20 years of work, are reinterpreted based on many archives, museums and sources. Before the drawings, there are introductory texts in three languages, Kurdish, English and Turkish. Here, detailed information is given under titles such as "The Necessity and Functions of Dressing", "National and Cultural Codes of Dressing", "Fashion", "Jewelry and the History of Kurdish Women's Costumes".
 
Traveling in Kurdish geography
 
While the drawings in the book are revived by the author's pen, they almost resemble an undiscovered treasure. As a result of years of observation by many archives, museums and author, the book was printed in full color with 200 pages in large size and takes the reader on a tour of Kurdish culture, history and geography.
