DİYARBAKIR - In the hearing of journalist Kibriye Evren, the court decided to overcome the missing points and postponed the next hearing to November 11.

The 13th hearing of the lawsuit filed against journalist Kibriye Evren for "being a member of terrorist organization" and "making propaganda for a terrorist organization" was held at the Diyarbakır 5th High Criminal Court. While Kibriye did not attend the hearing, her lawyers Resul Temur and Pirozhan Karali were present at the hearing.

‘The charges are old’

The chief judge said that they wanted the indictment of the lawsuit filed against Kibriye with the allegation of "being a member of a terrorist organization" at Mersin 2nd High Criminal Court, and that they were examining the indictment for combining. The chief judge noted that the dates of accusations in the indictment are older than those in the case in which Kibriye is currently on trial.

‘The indictment should be combined with this case’

Lawyer Resul Temur pointed out that the accusations are old, but the preparation date of the indictment in Mersin was after the trial in which Kibriye was tried in Diyarbakır and requested that the indictment be combined with the current case.

Open witnesses requested to be investigated

The court decided to write a letter to the Mersin 2nd High Criminal Court to give consent for the case filed against Kibriye at Mersin High Criminal Court to be combined with the case file in Diyarbakır. The court postponed the next hearing to November 11, so that a precept was written to the Anti-Terrorism Branch of Diyarbakır Police Department to investigate the persons Hacı Türmak and İbrahim Ekin whose names are mentioned by Veysi Sonsüz, who listened as witness in the previous hearing. At the same time, the court postponed the next hearing to November 11 to overcome the deficiencies in the case file.
