NEWS CENTER - The hunger strike launched against the aggravated isolation on PKK leader Abdullah Öcalan and the increasing rights violations in prisons has entered its 184th day.
The indefinite-alternating hunger strike launched by Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK) and Kurdistan Free Life Party (PJAK) prisoners on November 27, 2020, demanding the end of the aggravated isolation on PKK leader Abdullah Öcalan and an end to the increasing violations of rights in prisons continues. The action is on its 184th day with the 37th group.
Peoples’ Democratic Party (HDP) Spokesperson Ebru Günay, who evaluated the weekly developments at her party’s headquarters yesterday, drew attention to the isolation imposed on PKK leader Abdullah Öcalan. Ebru emphasized that Abdullah Öcalan should meet with his lawyers as soon as possible.
