11 people remain in custody for 3 days

DİYARBAKIR - 11 people, who were detained in house raids within the scope of an investigation carried out by the Diyarbakır Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, have been remaining in custody for three days.
 
On Monday, house raids had in Diyarbakır city center on the grounds of an investigation conducted by the Diyarbakır Chief Public Prosecutor's Office. Among the 11 detainees are the following: Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP) executives Ramazan Karakaya, Hamit Onur, Murat Öndeş, Sadık Tosun, HDP Kayapınar former district co-chair Kadri Akkaya, Democratic Regions Party (DBP) Diyarbakır former provincial co-chair Mehmet Bakır, Mesopotamia Language and Culture Research Association (MED-DER) co-chair Rıfat Roni, Yenişehir Municipal Council member Mehmet Zeki Bağcık, Bağlar Municipality Council member Nurettin Minister, and Kayapınar Municipality Council member Songül Dağ Kapancı.
 
In the investigation conducted against 11 people who were detained for "making propaganda for a terror organization", it was stated that a confidentiality order was taken.
 
It is noted that the statement proceedings of 11 people, who have been held in Diyarbakır Police Headquarters for three days, will begin today, and they are expected to be sent to the courthouse tomorrow after the statement.
