Women held workshop with the slogan 'silence kills'

NEWS CENTER - Women's Coordination of Democratic Autonomous Administration of Cizir held a workshop for the November 25 in Qamishlo, with the slogan "Silence kills".
 
Women's Coordination of Democratic Autonomous Administration of Cizir started the 25th  of November International Day of Elimination of Violence against Women. Women organized a workshop at the Zana Conference Hall in Qamishlo with the slogan “Silence kills” as part of the November 25 events. Pictures of Hevrin Xelef, Secretary General of Syria’s Future Party, who was murdered on October 12, and those who lost their lives in attacks were hung in the hall where the workshop was held. The workshop was attended by the co-chair of the Democratic Syrian Assembly (MSD) Emine Umer, women jurists and women representatives of human rights organizations in the region of Cizir.
 
'Women are the foundation of a democratic society'
 
President of the Cizre Region Women's Committee, Rûken Ehmed made the first speech and stated that women have taken important steps in the struggle. Rûken said "Today, all international forces are targeting our projects. Because they fear the spread of experiences in East and North Syria, Turkey and other regions.  That’s the reason why they slaughtered the politician Hevrin Xelef.
