First message from Imrali after 43 months

NEWS CENTRE- PKK Leader Abdullah Ocalan met with Omer Ocalan in Imrali for the first time after 43 months. During the meeting, it was stated that Abdullah Ocalan's health condition was good and Abdullah Ocalan said, ‘Isolation continues. I have the theoretical and practical power to move this process from the grounds of conflict and violence to the legal and political grounds if the conditions arise.’
Abdullah Ocalan, who is kept under absolute isolation in İmralı F Type High Security Closed Prison, met with Omer Ocalan after 43 months.
Omer Ocalan shared the following statements on his digital media account: ‘The last face-to-face meeting with Mr Abdullah Öcalan was on 3 March 2020. As a family, we had a meeting with Mr. Ocalan on 23 October 2024 after many years. We want the routine family meeting, which is a legal right, to continue regardless of the conditions.’

Omer then made another post on his digital media account and said, ‘On 23 October, I had a meeting with Mr. Ocalan in Imrali Island Prison. This visit was within the scope of a family meeting. During the meeting, Mr. Ocalan made evaluations on general political developments and asked the following message to be conveyed to the public: ‘Isolation continues. I have the theoretical and practical power to move this process from the grounds of conflict and violence to the legal and political grounds, if the conditions arise.' He was in good health and greeted everyone very much.’
