HELEB - Reacting to the attacks on the Tişrîn Dam, women emphasised that the dam is not only a source of water and energy but also a symbol of resistance and said, "We will fight until the end."

 

Turkey's attacks on Northern and Eastern Syria continue with all its violence. Civilians standing guard at the Tişrîn Dam, one of the places where the attacks are most intense, continue to be targeted. Many people, including theatre actors, journalists and health workers, have lost their lives and dozens of people have been injured in the attacks so far.

 

Against these attacks, the people, especially women, are on the front lines, clearly demonstrating their determination to resist. Women in Heleb emphasise the strategic importance of the Tişrîn Dam and its place in their lives, and state that they will fight against the attacks until the end. The dam is not only a source of energy and water, but also a symbol of resistance.

 

Speaking to JINNEWS, the women emphasise that the clear and determined stance against the attacks will continue. They state that the resistance rises primarily on the shoulders of women.

 

‘Our resistance will never end’

 

İlfet Elî Beko stated that the attacks against the Tişrîn Dam continue and said the following, "The Turkish state continues to attack the Tişrîn Dam with its aircraft. However, the people continue their resistance at the dam. The Turkish state should know very well that our fighters and our people are signing an honourable resistance at the dam. The Turkish state will never be able to end this resistance."

 

‘Civilians are being targeted’

 

Drawing attention to the fact that Turkey targeted civilians in the attacks, Ilfet Elî Beko used the following expressions: "The Turkish state is targeting civilians standing guard at the dam because of its weakness and desperation. If it really has any power, let it fight with our forces (QSD). But attacking civilians is inhuman. Where is humanity?"

 

‘We will defend Tişrîn Dam’

 

Emphasising the determination of the people in the resistance, İlfet Elî Beko continued her words as follows:"The Turkish state continues to attack the people with all its might. However, it is our right to defend the dam. Because we provide our water and livelihood from that dam. Even if we reach the rank of martyrdom against the Turkish state, we will not give up our struggle. We will always stand against the occupation. We are not afraid of death, because we are bigger than death."

 

‘The dreams of the Turkish state will not be realised’

 

Remiziya Salih expressed her reaction to Turkey's attacks with the following words: "The Turkish state is organising incessant attacks on the Tishreen Dam with its planes and gangs. Their aim is to destroy and eliminate this resistance people. However, these dreams of the Turkish occupation state will never be realised."

 

‘The vigil of resistance continues’

 

Stating that the people will continue their resistance against the attacks, Remiziya Salih used the following statements: "The Turkish state thinks that it can break the spirit of resistance of the people by targeting civilians. However, these dreams will turn into a nightmare. If one of us is martyred today, thousands will avenge them. Therefore, the attacks of the Turkish state will prepare its own end. We continue our vigil of resistance."

 

‘We exist and we will exist’

 

Remiziya Salih concluded her speech with the following words: "We will not give up our resistance against the systematic attacks of the Turkish state for a moment. We will continue our struggle until the last drop of our blood. We exist and we will continue to exist. We will make the Tişrîn Dam a grave for the Turkish state and its gangs."
