NEWS CENTRE - DEM Party Delegation stated that ‘Mr Öcalan's work on the process continues’ during the meeting with İmralı yesterday.

 

Peoples' Equality and Democracy Party (DEM Party) İmralı Delegation travelled to İmralı Island yesterday for the second meeting and held a 4-hour meeting with Abdullah Öcalan.  

 

 The message shared by the delegation is as follows:

 

"As the DEM Party İmralı Delegation, we held a meeting with Mr Abdullah Öcalan on 22 January 2025 in İmralı Island.

 

During the meeting, Mr Öcalan firstly expressed his condolences to the families of those who lost their lives in the tragic fire in Bolu and wished a speedy recovery to the wounded.

 

Our delegation informed him about the negotiations we have been conducting.

 

Mr. Öcalan’s work on the process continues. Necessary explanations will be made to the public after his preparations on this subject are finalised.

 

We, as a delegation, will also carry out our work and contacts, and we will inform the public as developments occur.

 

This process will make everyone, all of us, live together and freely. We look forward to the valuable contributions of all social segments in the hope that this will be realised."
