DEM Party delegation met with Devlet Bahceli

ANKARA - The MHP leg of the talks initiated by the DEM Party delegation with parties in line with the recommendations of PKK Leader Abdullah Öcalan took place today.
 
After meeting with PKK Leader Abdullah Öcalan on 28 December, Peoples' Equality and Democracy Party (DEM Party) Parliamentary Deputy Chairpersons Sırrı Süreyya Önder, Pervin Buldan and Ahmet Türk started talks today on the role of parliament for a democratic solution to the Kurdish problem in line with the recommendations of PKK Leader Abdullah Öcalan.
 
The first meeting was held with the Speaker of the Parliament
 
The DEM Party delegation held its first meeting with Parliament Speaker Numan Kurtulmuş, which lasted approximately 1 hour, and met with MHP Chairman Devlet Bahçeli at 14.56 hours.
 
Devlet Bahçeli welcomed the delegation at the door
 
The meeting with Devlet Bahçeli, who welcomed the DEM Party delegation at the door of the presidency room in the MHP Parliamentary Group, was closed to the press.
 
The historic meeting with the DEM Party delegation, the delegation taking photographs with journalists and Devlet Bahçeli lasted approximately 40 minutes. Journalists' questions were left unanswered.

The delegation's contacts will continue next week. The delegation stated that it will meet with the AKP and CHP on Monday, and that it is not yet clear whether this meeting will be with President Tayyip Erdoğan.
