Activist Fatemeh's 18-year sentence upheld

NEWS CENTER - The 18-year prison sentence for activist Fatemeh Sepehri, who took part in the resistance in Iran, has been approved.
 
 Iran's Revolutionary Court in Mashhad upheld the 18-year prison sentence for political prisoner Fatemeh Sepehri, stating that this sentence has been "valid" since March 12. According to NuJINHA's report, Fatemeh Sepehri, one of the 14 signatory activists for Ali Khamenei's resignation, received 5 years for "propaganda against the regime", 5 years for "cooperation with enemy countries", and 2 years for "insulting Khomeini and Khamenei” and was sentenced to 6 years in prison for "assembly and collusion against the internal security of the country.”
 
"My sister's 18-year prison sentence has been approved," Fatemeh's brother Asghar Sepehri shared on his digital media account.
 
 Fatemeh Sepehri, who was detained in the raid on her home on September 21 after the murder of Jîna Emini on September 16 in Tehran, was taken to Vakilabad Prison in Mashhad.
