NEWS CENTER - Thousands of women in Greece and Afghanistan demanded their rights that were usurped in the fields due to March 8th.

 

On the occasion of March 8, International Women's Day, women from Europe, the Middle East and America poured into the fields.

 

One of these countries is Greece. The protests, which started after the train disaster in which 57 people lost their lives in the Tembi region of the city of Larisa, turned into a general strike. In the country where workers and workers left their jobs, the streets were full from the morning hours due to the general strike and protests combined with the women's day protests.

 

In the country where school boycotts and occupation actions took place in high schools and universities, students hung a banner "Murderers, we will overthrow you" on the Athens University building.

 

Parades were also held in many cities of the country.

 

Afghanistan

 

In Afghanistan, women take to the streets in different provinces with the demands of reading, working and going out freely in small groups on March 8, International Women's Day.

 

With the Taliban regime that took over the administration for about a year and a half, the living conditions of women are getting harder day by day.

 

The United Nations recently emphasized that Afghanistan is "the most oppressive country" for women, noting that women are almost confined to their homes.
