ANKARA - HDP Co-Chair Pervin Buldan, who came together with the ambassadors of EU countries, drew attention to the deepening isolation in Imralı and the pressures on their party.
Peoples’ Democratic Party (HDP) Co-Chair Pervin Buldan and HDP Foreign Relations Commission Co-Spokesperson Hişyar Özsoy came together with the ambassadors of the European Union (EU) member states at a lunch hosted by the European Union-Turkey Delegation Ambassador Nikolaus Meyer-Landrut.
Attention was drawn to the isolation
During the meeting, Pervin shared HDP’s views on the political and economic crisis in the country, and evaluated the public opinion debate and researches on the forthcoming elections. Pervin conveyed views on the isolation practice in Imralı, the non-implementation of the European Court of Human Rights (ECtHR) decisions of Selahattin Demirtaş, the Kobanê Trial and the latest developments in the closure case against HDP.
The importance of HDP was pointed out
Answering the questions from the ambassadors at the meeting, Pervin emphasized that the HDP continues to increase its power despite the pressure, arrest, and trials. Pervin emphasized that HDP will play an important role in the political transformation needed by the country as an actor that determines the results in the politics of Turkey in the upcoming period.
