Peace Mothers on vigil for one month

NEWS CENTER - The vigil launched to take the bodies of their children at the Sêmalka Border Gate is on its 30th day.
The tent action set up at the Sêmalka Border Gate, located on the border of Northern and Eastern Syria and the Federated Kurdistan Region, has entered its 30th day. The Peace Mothers, who started the vigil, have been resisting at the border gate for days and demand that the bodies of their children be handed over to them.
KDP is still silent
Tens of people and institutions that visit the activists every day call on the Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP) to hand over the bodies of those killed. Despite all the calls, no statement was made from the KDP.
What happened?
On 28-29 August, it was announced that five People’s Defence Forces (HPG) members lost their lifes as a result of the KDP’s ambush on a seven-person HPG group in the Xelîfan region, one fell into the hands of the KDP and one was rid of from the ambush.
