A woman named Hülya Şimşek lost her life as a result of individual armament in the incident that took place on Saturday evening in the Maden Neighborhood of the Piraziz district of Giresun. Hülya, who went to the wedding, was injured at the scene as a result of a male named A.G. after opening fire in the air with his gun.

 

Hülya, who was taken to Bulancak State Hospital by ambulance by the medical teams who came to the scene after the citizens informed, lost her life in the hospital.

 

On the other hand, according to the 2020 data of the Umut Foundation, which carries out works against individual armament, a total of 3862 acts of violence took place. 2040 people died.

The foundation stated that 85 percent of the acts of violence were caused by firearms.
