DİYARBAKIR - In Lice, the police attacked the citizens who reacted when DEDAŞ wanted to move the electricity meters to the poles, with tear gas and water cannon. The police threatened the citizens, saying, ‘’We will not accommodate you here’’.

 

Dicle Electricity Distribution Corp. (DEDAŞ)’s desire to move electricity meters to poles in some provinces and districts of the region on the grounds of preventing illegal use caused reactions in many cities. DEDAŞ came to the neighborhoods to carry the meters to the poles in the Yenişehir Neighborhood of Diyarbakır’s Lice district, one of the places where the tension was experienced. DEDAŞ, who had to leave the neighborhood last week after the citizens did not give permission, entered the neighborhoods with tens of police today.
