OSCE: We couldn’t send observers to Urfa for security reasons

ANKARA - Audrey Glover, representative of OSCE sending about 300-330 observers to Turkey for the elections, said they couldn’t send observers to Urfa, where violations are most intense, for security reasons.
 
Organization for Security and Co‑operation in Europe (OSCE) made a statement to the journalists in Ankara. OSCE r delegation representative stated that about 300-330 people will observe the elections for OSCE.
 
The statement made by OSCE delegation representative Audrey Glover says, “The delegation came to Turkey upon the invitation of the Foreign Ministry on May 24. The observers have been in different places of Turkey for more than a month. They are observing the pre-electoral situation. In addition, short-term observers arrived in Turkey a few days ago and they will observe those who have responsible for ballot boxes on the Election Day.”
 
No observers in Urfa
 
 One journalist asked Audrey if they have any observers in Urfa province and Audrey answered the question as follows; “We don’t have any observers in that area due security measures. We don’t have any observers in all border regions due to the security difficulties.”
