Supreme Electoral Council decides to merge ballot boxes in Diyarbakır’s 7 districts!

DİYARBAKIR -Turkey's Supreme Electoral Council (YSK) has decided to merge the ballots boxes to be set up in seven districts of Diyarbakır province. As the ballot boxes to be set up in Bismil, Dicle, Hazro, Hani, Kulp and Silvan districts have been merged with the ballot boxes in a neighborhood, the ballot boxes to be set up in Lice district have been merged in police area.
 
Turkey's Supreme Electoral Council (YSK) has accepted the Diyarbakır Governorate request proposing to merge ballot boxes for security reasons. The YSK claims that the decision wasn’t taken at the request of the Diyarbakır Governorate or the chair of the district election board but the first part of the conclusion part of the decision says, “The request proposing to merge the ballot boxes in voting districts for the security reasons…”
 
Four electoral areas in Bismil merged
 
The YSK has decided to merge the ballot boxes to be set up in Meydan, Bölümlü and Karapınar neighborhoods to be merged with the ballot boxes in Türkmenhancı Neighborhood and the ballot boxes to be set up in Kurudeğişmen Neighborhood to be merged with the ballot boxes to be set up in Fatih Neighborhood.
 
Meanwhile, the ballot boxes to be set up in 20 electoral areas of Dicle and Hazro districts have been merged other ballot boxes. The ballot boxes to be set up in 14 electoral areas of Kulp district have been merged with the ballot boxes to be set up in seven electoral areas.
 
The ballot boxes to be set up in Lice district have been merged with the ballot boxes to be set up in police area. The ballot boxes to be set up in 13 electoral areas in Silvan and Hani have been merged.
