ISTANBUL - Singer Pınar Aydınlar has been detained at Atatürk Airport while returning from Germany to Turkey due to the seven and half years prison sentence approved against her. Pınar is expected to be sent to Bakırköy Prison.

 

Singer Pınar Aydınlar has been detained at Atatürk Airport while returning from Germany to Turkey. The reports say she has been taken into custody due to the seven and half years prison sentence approved against her for her speeches during the electoral campaign for the Peoples’ Democratic People in 2015. Pınar, whose passport has been seized, has been held at the airport. Pınar is expected to be sent to  Bakırköy courthouse in the upcoming hours and then to the Bakırköy Women’s Closed Prison.
