Socialist Women's Assemblies member Pınar Türk released

ISTANBUL - Socialist Women's Assemblies (SKM) member and Socialist Party of the Oppressed (ESP) Istanbul provincial Chair Pınar Türk has been released after the first hearing.
 
First hearing of Socialist Women's Assemblies (SKM) member and Socialist Party of the Oppressed (ESP) Istanbul provincial Chair Pınar Türk was held by 24th High Criminal Court. Pınar and her lawyers attended the hearing.
 
In her defence, Pınar said, “I am chair of the ESP Istanbul province. As provincial chair and a citizen, I have right to criticize the government’s policies. Defending peace and protesting war shouldn’t be a crime in this country. I deny the accusations.” The court has ruled the release of Pınar Türk.
