ANKARA - Police conducted house raids on members and administrators of the Labour Party (EMEP) and Federation of Idea Clubs (FKF) in Ankara and detained seven people.

 

In the morning, police raided the houses of Rüstem Kahraman, administrator of the Labour Party (EMEP) Ankara province, and Özlem Boyraz Özel, administrator of Yenimahalle district organization of the party. After search of their houses, Özlem and Rüstem were taken into custody for their posts on social media.

 

Police also raided the houses of five members of the Federation of Idea Clubs (FKF) in the morning for their posts on social media. Five people, including FKF Central Executive Board member Deniz Aydın, were detained after the search in their houses.
