Police raid house of Serpil Kemalbay

ISTANBUL - Police raided the house of Peoples’ Democratic Party (HDP) Party Assembly member Serpil Kemalbay in Esenyurt district of Istanbul.
 
Police raided the house of Serpil Kemalbay, who was elected as member of Peoples’ Democratic Party (HDP) Party Assembly during the party’s 3rd Ordinary Congress held on February 11, 2018. Police broke the door and entered the house, where no one was in. After searching the apartment, the police changed the door lock and left the house.
 
Seven people, including Peoples’ Democratic Congress (HDK) Co-spokesperson Prof. Onur Hamzaoğlu, were detained and arrest warrant was issued against 17 people within the scope of an investigation opened by Ankara Public Prosecutor.
 
Name of Serpil Kemalbay has been reportedly in the list of arrest warrant.
